Youth Support Worker

To support the delivery of youth work sessions in Martock Youth Centre, Somerset. Building effective relationships with young people, identifying young people's needs and issues, delivering youth work activities and opportunities that meet needs, working face to face with young people aged 8-18 years, working alongside local volunteers, bringing a team based approach and ensuring that youth activity sessions are fun, safe and welcoming and compliant with Community Youth Project Policies and procedures.

We wish to appoint dynamic individuals who will inspire and challenge young people, who will support young people in their transition to adulthood, who will support young people to reach their full potential. We are seeking youth support workers who have the skills to work within communities to identify the needs of young people and to develop an exciting range of opportunities involving young people in decision making, programme delivery and design, including the delivery of youth sessions and activities.

Ideally you should have experience of working with young people age 8 years and older, building relationships within the community and developing volunteers and have availability to work after school and evenings.

Successful candidate will need to have their own transport.
