Workplace Health and Safety Officer

Role Overview: As a Health and Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our employees, compliance with safety regulations, and the implementation of effective risk management practices. You will collaborate with the company Compliance Manager and various departments to create and maintain safe working environments across 3 sites in close proximity.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines specific to our manufacturing operations.

Conduct risk assessments, identify hazards, and recommend control measures.

Create safe systems of work (SSOW) for various tasks and processes.

Regularly inspect facilities, machinery, and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, providing recommendations for prevention.

Train employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and best practices.

Collaborate with management to promote a safety-conscious culture.

Certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) preferred.

Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.

Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies.

Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with diverse teams.

Attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety.

Driving License is preferred.
