Our Work Placement Officer role is a fantastic opportunity for a confident, outgoing individual that thrives from working in a hands-on, varied role, building strong working relationships, and supporting others. We are looking for a positive and driven Work Placement Officer to support our students and staff in their work placement activity, preparing the next generation of engineering workers and professionals for the workplace., We are looking for a highly dedicated and motivated Work Placement Officer to join our team of industry experts and specialists supporting with work experience opportunities. You will work with the curriculum staff across the department to create secure and maintain industry work placements and engagement. You will be supporting students to further develop their competency and industry standards with the required skills, knowledge, behaviours and attitudes required to work in an engineering, automotive or electrical installation setting.

Building the links between education and employment is a key part of our Work Placement Officer role here at Barnsley College. We are looking for someone that can capably guide our young people into industry, working to generate and sustain excellent employer links and outstanding learner experiences.

In this role, you will have the autonomy to facilitate meetings and visits with employers to determine whether the placement opportunities are suitable for our students. Although previous experience working within employer engagement and student support isn't essential, candidates must have some general experience in either marketing, sales or customer service.
