Full Job Description

In this role you will provide a professional response to calls received into Warwickshire Police., 1. To provide a high-quality telephone call handling service to the public in accordance with guidance and training provided, and meeting performance targets as set by the organisation.

2. Provide resolution to calls, providing information and/or signposting to the relevant department or agency.

3. Work co-operatively with team members and colleagues, contributing positively and constructively to the achievement of team and organisational objectives.

4. Use force technology in line with the Triage function to be able to transfer calls appropriately.

Knowledge:

  • A general education to GCSE standard (grades A - C) or equivalent.


  • Experience:
  • Experience of using Windows based IT systems.

  • Some experience of working in a customer services environment.

  • Proven ability to maintain a professional service to customers when under pressure.


  • Key Skills:
  • The ability to gather information using appropriate questioning techniques.

    Recruitment and Selection Policy

    Police Barred and Advisory lists

    Individuals placed on the Police Barred and Advisory lists will not be considered for employment by the police for a minimum of 5 years from the date of listing in the case of gross misconduct, or 3 years from the date of listing in the case of poor performance.
