Full Job Description

Your main responsibility will be to provide clinical support in a wide range of treatments for a for a broad client base and assisting the team with all other aspects of running an efficient service for our patients within the dental service.

The postholder will undertake the clinical lead of dental nurse triage sessions and organise and deliver the fluoride varnish programme for the contract.

A degree level qualification (or equivalent) together with a Certificate in Topical Fluoride Application are essential for this role. An NEBDN Certificate in Special Care Dental Nursing

  • and Oral Health Education Certificate are desirable for this role.


  • You will require initiative and strong interpersonal and communication skills to enjoy working with this specialist community and to ensure seamless care to patients. Excellent IT and organisational skills are also an advantage to these positions and candidates should be proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel, and should have competent keyboard skills, knowledge of a dental software package would be an advantage, though training will be given to the successful candidates.

  • Or able to achieve the qualification within the first two years of employment.

    Hours: 22.5 hours per week, 3 days Base: Colchester Primary Care Centre Salary: £28,407 - £34,581 per annum, pro rata (Actual £17,044.20 - £20,748.60
