Full Job Description

An opportunity for a Senior Server Manager has arisen to join the Server Management team at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, based at Williamstown, with a need to also work at other locations across the organisation as and when required. You will provide server management support and support data center services across the Health Board. You must demonstrate experience working within ICT within your application which is essential for this role.
Through this team, the post holders get exposure to new technologies and training through work experience to enable future progression and development in the Digital space.
Hybrid working is available where the service needs allow., The CTM Server Team is looking to appoint a Senior Server Manager. This appointment will take the lead for hardening our server infrastructure security posture as well as a technical lead for data center hosting services across the Health Board.
Working as a team, the successful candidate will also be co-responsible for the Health Board's other server based services - and will be required to lead on a technical specialism.
As part of a busy team, responsibilities of this post will include working within the Server Management team with a particular emphasis on Servers and Storage, networking and End User devices.

Applicants should be educated to degree level, preferably in a computer science related subjects, or have appropriate / equivalent experience. Previous experience with Microsoft server technologies and leading application vendors essential, as well as practical experience in setting up and maintaining a diverse server estate.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
