Full Job Description

Our home is not your typical Residential Children's Home that you would be used to working in. While the nature of the role is closely the same as what you would expect in any Residential Home, there are a few key differences that sets us apart and makes it a more unique place to work.

Unlike a traditional home, our Activity based home takes Young People for a period of 12 weeks at a time, where we provide them rest bite and a chance to break the cycle of circumstance they may find themselves in. This means you will meet, care for and have an impact on a far greater turn-over of Young People.

The other big difference is that we encourage our Young People as part of their time with us to embark on as much adventurous activity as possible. This means you could be involved in (and potentially earn additional qualifications around) mountain biking, climbing, coast steering, adventurous jumping, kayaking, paddle boarding, camping, mountaineering and more. If you want more adventure from your Residential Career, then this may be exactly what you are looking for.

As all our Young People are on two to one care we boast a large staffing team, and as a Senior Activity worker you will be involved in supervisions and helping train/guide new staff as well as support the established Residential Activity Workers.

This is an exciting time to join a leading and growing organisation as part of a friendly, professional and supportive team.
