Senior Residential Child Care Worker

We offer high quality residential care and education for children and young people with mental health conditions such as Autism, Social, Emotional & Behavioral Difficulties and complex needs associated with challenging behavior.

We are situated in a detached house, which has been specifically adapted to suit the needs of a children's home, for the accommodation of one young people at a time ages of 8 and 18 years old on admission. The accommodation is decorated to a high standard, which is conducive to providing a friendly and homely atmosphere.

The maintenance and décor of the home is an ongoing project, which the young people are encouraged to have some input into. We believe in involving all of the young people with any project that is to be completed within the home. The rationale behind this is to give a sense of belonging and commitment to the home.

Your role as Team Leader is to assist and support the House Manager where needed, ensuring the smooth running of the shift, assigning specific tasks to the support workers and monitoring their completion. You will support our children to maintain and develop relationships with friends and family, encourage them to integrate with the local community by attending clubs or day centres and to support the children in all aspects of their daily living. You will safeguard vulnerable children and report any suspicion or evidence of harm and when the children are not in the service you will undertake housekeeping and maintain standards of hygiene within the home.
