Full Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Clinical Fellow to join our Urology team at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. The successful candidate will support inpatient and day surgery theatre sessions and outpatient clinics, care of inpatients and support reviews of inpatient referrals.
Our urology services continue to evolve rapidly. Our Da Vinci X and Xi robots are shared across one of the most diverse Robotic Surgery Programmes in the UK. Our urology team are actively involved in teaching, tutoring and examining for the Medical School and the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to this. We also have a weekly Urological Grand Round incorporating local research updates, journal review, case of the week and continuous audit.

We reserve the right to close a vacancy before the closing date if we receive a high volume of applications or if there has been a change in organisational priorities., Main duties and responsibilities include supporting inpatient and day surgery theatre sessions and outpatient clinics, care of inpatients, prompt review of inpatient referrals, administrative work, teaching junior staff and medical students.
The post holder will contribute to tutorials, lectures and teaching ward rounds for medical and nursing students.
Administrative duties include attendance at Urology Grand Round and MDT as timetabled, accurate record keeping and the maintenance of prospective PROMS databases., UHCW NHS Trust, by virtue of its Green Plan, is committed to ensuring that the way we provide services minimises the impact on the environment and the future health of the public e.g. zero waste to landfill, reducing our carbon footprint and increasing our recycling and reuse percentages.

Depending on you level of exposure with patients you may be required to undertake a Standard or Enhanced DBS. The cost of this check will be charged to you and will be deducted from your salary over the first 3 months of employment at the current rate.
