Science Technician or Apprentice

Hours: 32.5 hours per week, term time only plus 5 training days.

The school will consider some flexibility with hours for the right person.

Salary: NJC Scale 4 £18,744 - £20,045 per annum (based on 32.5 hours)

Required from: September 2024

We require a Science Technician to support the delivery of practical science. Duties include supporting the teaching of excellent science lessons, preparing resources, clearing after lessons and dealing with materials in accordance with health and safety procedures.

Ideally the role would suit someone with scientific background, but full training will be given to suitable candidates.

The school will also consider those wishing to pursue a Science Technician Apprenticeship course through a local college. This will be aimed at those with little or no experience and will be paid at national apprenticeship rates. Apprentices will usually work 4 days a week at school and 1 day each week at college.
