Full Job Description

This individual will be preparing for a career in sales by learning the necessary skills and gaining experience. They will work under the guidance of a more senior sales associate or manager who provides frequent feedback on their performance. The apprentice will be responsible for learning and developing practical skills, participating in classes and other relevant learning experiences onsite or offsite. The individual will be required to observe all health and safety codes, completing tasks and assignments as well as delivering presentations to staff and other stakeholders as necessary.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Achieve the level 2 NVQ in Customer Service and potentially progressing to a level 3 in Customer Service or a Level 4 Sales Executive qualification depending on progress and ability.

  • Carry out any reasonable tasks

  • Be accountable for achieving site and sales department KPI's

  • Communicate with colleagues and customers on matters like, stock, availability and price changes, etc, as required

  • Obtain orders for products and services, checks order fulfilment conditions and informs customer and Sales Admin colleagues as required.

  • Obtains leads to pass to external sales team.

  • Reflect core values and principles in daily work with customers, employees, colleagues and management.

  • Act resourcefully and in an innovative way to solve problems and complete tasks.

  • Answer phones and assist callers with their needs.

  • Prepares daily reports as required.

  • Visit sites or events as a part of the learning experience based on KPI's that have been set under the guidance of the Sales Team.


  • The training you will be getting

    Alongside the on site training you will receive as a new starter, you will undertake a Customer Service Level 2 apprenticeship through Hawk Training.

    The programme is delivered through virtual and face to face training and online learning delivered during working hours. You will have 6 hours per week protected study time.

    It will include functional skills exams if you don't have English & Maths GCSE at Grade 4 or above.
