Full Job Description

Assist in the preparation of the Route business plan and reporting on business performance, programmes of work and improvement initiatives., 1. Assist in the preparation of the Route Business plan.

2. Assist in the production of the consolidated Route periodic business report.

3. Organise and schedule delivery unit business reviews.

4. Record and manage progress of actions from business reviews.

5. Assist in the preparation of investment proposals and supporting business cases.

6. Coordinate the review of investment proposals, track responses and approval.

7. Prepare Route progress reports on programmes of work.

· Knowledge of business planning, commercial and financial management processes and techniques.

· Good analytical skills

· Good interpersonal, influencing, communication and organisation skills

Desirable

· Experience in maintenance management, processes and techniques

· Knowledge of operational railway environment

· North West Route, covering Manchester, Liverpool, Lancashire and Cumbria.

· Central Route, covering the West Midlands and Chiltern areas.

· West Coast South Route, covering the south of Crewe to London Euston.

There is also a Regional Team which supports Regional Major Programmes & Professional services.
