Full Job Description

Exciting new opportunity, for a new residential Learning Disabilities children's home. We are opening a new residential children's home in the Wolverhampton area and are looking for an experienced, driven and enthusiastic Registered Manager.

We are here to make a difference to young people's lives we understand that a child's emotional development can depend upon their age, ability, and experience.

We are a company that has other residential children's homes, but is currently expanding and opening a new home in Wolverhampton. We provide services to children and young people between the age of 8 and 17 years, who require a Registered manager to place the individual first, meet the challenge, keep positive, provide individualised care, obtain successful outcomes, and support children and young people for as long as required.

· Registered Managers must achieve or hold the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young People's Residential Management) qualification within three years of the date they started employment.

· Experience with Residential childcare (1 year minimum), Child Protection, Therapeutic Work and Supervision of staff.

· Knowledge with Children Act 1989, Children's Home Regulations 2015, Care Standards Act 2000, Safeguarding children's procedures, Direct work skills, Management Systems and Children's rights.

· Leadership Skills, be able to manage time well, computer literacy, hold staff supervision, Well-developed written and verbal communication.

· Management of budgets and project manage.

· Be competent in managing and creating staff rotas.

· Need to be committed in achieving the best outcome for children, flexible in achieving objectives.

· To be willing to continuing personal development and keeping yourself current with latest regulations, policies and procedures.

· Has knowledge in regards to different Learning Disabilities and characterises.
