This Quality inspector role will play a key role in ensuring continuation of our excellent production of metal products and will successfully verify machined parts and fabricated assemblies, to ensure conformance to specification at set-up, during production and final inspection.

You will be confident reading engineering drawings and your day to day responsibilities will include :

· Final Inspection - All products

· Liaising with staff and supervisors

· Preparation of data as required for use by departments within the Company.

· Provision of assistance to other Departments, Managers and Directors as required.

· Maintain agreed quality non-conformity targets within inspection team.

· Maintain internal non-conformance records.

· Aid manufacturing departments with any suspected faults.

· Liaise with quality engineering team to update on internal non-conformance results.

Working for a company that has 50 years of excellent manufacturing experience in precision fabricated metal products who provide goods to a variety of industries including automotive, agriculture, bus and truck yellow goods, power generation and general engineering industries.

As a Quality Inspector you will be primarily responsible for ensuring that parts which pass through quality control, are inspected and handled in accordance with expected standards. You will also be required to handle non-conformances, whilst applying excellent attention to detail and complete all relevant administration duties

Previous experience in a production environment using equipment such as digital callipers, height gauges etc would be advantageous., Ability to interpret engineering drawings

Have the ability to make decisions and use own initiative.

Possess good communication skills both verbally and written

Experience of Inspection in a production environment

Ability to work unsupervised.

Must be self-motivated

Methodical and precise.
