Full Job Description

The role will be supporting Prototype Battery Production and involves coordinating and responsibility for Build Operations and Personnel. This role will involve technical validation and specification of parts, process and machinery used on the line whilst ensuring all equipment and the supporting facility are calibrated and maintained.

What you'll need

In this exciting yet challenging position, you'll coordinate, manage and deliver operational processes for the prototype Stack, BEM & Pack Build line ensuring deliverables meet strategic objectives of the area. You'll utilise Programme build plans to Identify how both store and production are impacted by each build or known issues and ensure that these areas are fully aware of upcoming workload.

As a lead supervisor, it is essential to promote a zero-harm culture through positive reinforcement and leading by example. At any one time, you will be responsible for anywhere up to 100 colleagues split across stack, BEM & pack so it imperative, you have held a similar position where your span of leadership has been for at least 50 colleagues or more.

You will assist Build Engineering in validating parts and processes as well as ensuring Level zero fault finding investigating causes and resolution to faults on line. Health & safety is paramount within this role so prior experience of operating within a similar environment is critical for this position. Previous experience of preparing for audits such as SBI, SHARP, ISO and occupational hygiene to ensure compliance with business and legal requirements would also be beneficial.

  • Proven leadership and workload management experience

  • Detailed knowledge of company Health and Safety requirements, including Risk Assessment, COSHH (CONTROL OF SUBSTANCES HAZARDOUS TO HEALTH) and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets)

  • Relevant previous experience in Prototype Build Engineering.


  • Strong understanding electromechanical principles and fundamental theory.
