Full Job Description
To undertake all administrative tasks to support the education and participation programme of The Courtyard.
To assist the Associate Director with all administrative tasks and the running of events for the current programme.
To assist with and develop administrative systems to enable the organisation to work to maximum efficiency.
We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and flexible person to support the Associate Director of The Courtyard in his roles as head of the education and participation department and programmer for organisation. This is an extremely busy and varied role which requires someone with excellent organisational and administrative skills and who is at home using Microsoft Office programmes and databases. A confident telephone manner and the abilities to learn new tricks quickly, be a good team player and to multitask will all be assets. There will never be a dull moment!
This part-time role can be done over four or five days a week and job sharing is possible. An Enhanced DBS Check is a requirement of this role., Experience of working in an administrative role
Experience of working in an arts and/or educational setting
Keeping database records and information handling
Excellent administrative skills
Excellent typing skills (preferably touch typing and/or an RSA typing qualification)
In-depth knowledge and confident user of Microsoft packages (including Outlook, Word and Excel)
Confident telephone manner
Excellent attention to detail
Strong on spelling and grammar
Ability to keep budgetary records
Ability to work to deadlines
Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
Ability to communicate effectively within a diverse team of specialists and with outside parties
Ability to set up and maintain computerised databases and to learn new systems quickly
Ability to work on own initiative
Ability to produce well written and properly laid out correspondence
Ability to work flexibly and switch easily between many different tasks
Exceptional organisational skills
