Full Job Description

Our client is looking for a Consultant, with excellent connections within Space/Defence industry, to lead programmes and projects within the space sector.

You will be responsible for the account delivery and responding to public sector bids.

You must have both Space and Consulting experience to be considered for this position!

This role requires travel to sites as and when required, which can be up to 4 times per week.,

  • Drive the design and development of Space programmes (including programme strategy and set up, portfolio/ programme delivery, and commercial and contract management).

  • Defining and establishing organisation capability for the Space industry.

  • Take responsibility for the delivery and success of the Space Account, ensuring performance and programme success.

  • Where relevant: enabling programmes to adopt latest technology and develop capability to use deep data insights, analytics and robotics for better control and efficient delivery.

  • Lead and support transformation workstreams including the development of engagement plans, managing critical paths and interdependencies between workstreams that are implementing change across major programmes.

  • Manage progress reporting, risk management and financial controls in relation to the programme or workstream.

  • Drive the growth of client relationships, identifying new opportunities within both existing and new clients within Space and Defence.

  • Lead public sector bid processes and cycles.

    Strong contacts within Space and Defence (ideally UK Space Command).

  • Experience working for a Consulting company - ideally big 4 or another major professional services company.

  • Previous responsibility for account delivery.

  • Experience responding to bids.
