Full Job Description

As a Principal Supportability Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This will be an excellent career broadening opportunity to work alongside supportability and engineering subject matter experts in a customer facing role.

Day-to-day, you'll support the Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) team, by providing subject matter expertise into the design team.

  • Conduct availability, reliability and maintainability analysis / modelling and develop ILS data, artefacts and documentation

  • Conduct logistic support analysis

  • Work closely with our partners, internal stakeholders, and supply chain to deliver the associated ILS artefacts and deliverables

  • Functional line management of supporting engineers including, training/development and mentoring


  • This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with days in the office/onsite and days working from home. Your role will include regular travel to sites in Rosyth, Plymouth or Bristol as well as possible international travel to our customer facilities.

  • Experienced in ILS, Support and/or Programme roles

  • Prior experience in a major design phase/support programme at Senior level

  • Experienced at using Availability Reliability Maintainability (ARM) modelling software - Preferred

  • Experienced in using Supportability Analysis Software - Preferred


  • Qualifications for the Principal Supportability Engineer:
  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (and/or equivalent through qualifications and experience)

  • Professionally registered engineer at IEng or CEng level or willingness to work towards - Preferred

    The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
