Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our AHP faculty to support students, preceptees and apprentices in our Theatre teamsThe post holder will work in partnership with stakeholders to ensure clinical teams and learners are supported within the clinical environment and assist in the development of inter professional learning opportunities in practice. They will focus on embedding the process of recruiting and supporting a new apprenticeship programme within theatres for operating department practitioners.

They will work with the faculty lead and other practice educators to support the training and education of all AHPs at UHCW

As part of the UHCW AHP core team led by the associate director of AHPs you will be supported with a broad range of learning opportunities to support your own career development,

  • Support the implementation and monitoring of governance frameworks for ensuring high quality learning experiences.

  • To ensure students and apprentices are supported in becoming competent and capable practitioners within an inter-professional framework by facilitating the educators with the teaching, supervising and mentoring of students and registered practitioners in a variety of settings which includes both the academic and practice setting.

  • To ensure structures are in place to provide pastoral support to learners who are experiencing professional / personal issues within practice setting.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of professional education and act as a learning resource for inter professional learning in practice.

  • Ensure all learning activities are in accordance with evidenced based practice and in line with placement provider policies.

  • In partnership with the stakeholders identify and develop capacity and capability for additional clinical placements, to ensure there are adequate placements to meet demand.

  • To demonstrate the delivery of capacity in response to local targets regarding the number, breadth and quality placements.
