Power BI Developer- 12 month FTC

We are on the lookout for a Power BI Developer to join the team on a 12 month fixed term basis. This role is providing front-end data and reporting solutions to enable Business Intelligence and Insights using governed and centralized data.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone to be part of the Data and BI team, in the IT function within Yeo Valley. You will be part of an enthusiastic IT team of 18 employees covering the areas of Applications, Infrastructure, Service Desk, Cybersecurity and Data & BI.

You will be based as part of our IT team in our Acorn House location in Highbridge, our newly refurbished spacious offices (decorated with a local twist!), only half an hour from Bristol and just off of the M5 Junction 22.

The role will have opportunities for a mixture of on-site and working from home options, plus there is a great staff canteen!

Your responsibilities:

• Develop, design, and maintain Power BI Semantics for various business units.


• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.


• Enablement of other business analysts to access governed data and create reports via appropriate workflow and governance.


• Implement best practices for data visualization, ensuring accuracy and relevance.


• Optimize performance and responsiveness of Power BI reports for different devices.


• Stay updated on the latest Power BI features and industry best practices.


• Provide training and support to end-users for self-service reporting when necessary.


• Monitoring for issues, fault finding and resolution, and 3rd level support of BI incidents and requests in conjunction with the IT Service Desk. Engage with 3rd party support where required.


• Working with the IT team to ensure underlying infrastructure, resilience, security, licensing, and support is in place and is maintained.
