Full Job Description

As a Planner/Senior planner, you will provide a timely, effective and professional programmes for bid proposals and project delivery. This role will be crucial in assisting with our bid submissions, producing accurate programmes and methodologies to enable us to stand out from the crowd and secure projects ranging in value from £100,000 up to £8,000,000., o Provide accurate construction programmes from appointment to commissioning and handover including lead times and critical paths

o Understand each project in detail and establish programmes around key milestones, highlighting lead times and critical paths

o Provide clear and concise methodologies to devise how the project will be delivered taking into account project specific aspects and risks.

o work closely with senior members of the project team to assist them in developing realistic target construction programmes.

o Lead programme meetings whether internally or presenting to Clients.

o Highlighting areas of concern in the construction progress and reviewing mitigation measures with the project team; including compensation events, the cause and effect that this will have.

o Assisting Project Managers with planning related matters and attending meetings with project teams and clients

o Develop ideas to drive improvement and consistency in the timely delivery of our preconstruction bids and our live projects.

o Be forward thinking, with the ability to see problems coming before they arise and think both fast and strategically to overcome them.

o Ability to manage own workload and work to tight deadlines.

About You:

Educated to professional level, you'll have a thorough understanding and experience in the use of project management software and extensive knowledge in programme and project management, and project planning. With excellent management skills and the ability to work well in a team environment, contributing across a business unit, you'll be able to manage projects simultaneously without compromising on standard and quality.

Essential:

o Previous experience in a construction planner role.

o Commercially aware with a strong focus on teamwork.

o Mentoring and working with colleagues, sharing knowledge and experience.

o Communicate and present in a professional manner, both written and verbally.

o Actively demonstrate initiative and able to work independently under pressure to meet deadlines efficiently.

o Good construction technical knowledge across relevant work packages

o Keen eye for detail, ability to draw on project experience to identify and mitigate programme risks

A full UK driving licence is essential.,

  • Bachelor's (preferred), Construction Planningn: 3 years (preferred)
