Full Job Description

Reporting to the People Services & Systems Manager, the Payroll and Reward Advisor will ensure that the functions relating to payroll, reward and benefits are processed accurately and on time with expertise and an eye for continuous improvement. Responsibilities include the preparation and processing of the monthly payroll and benefits management for over 600 staff. This will include month end tasks, such as reconciliations, benefits management and pension submissions and year end tasks as required. The Payroll and Reward Advisor will play a key role in ensuring our approach to reward is in line with policy, considering internal and external benchmarking of roles as well as job evaluations to provide assurance of consistency and fairness across the organisation. The Advisor will also be responsible for preparing data for any salary and bonus reviews, annual benefits renewals, reward reviews, gender/ethnicity pay gap reporting or any other payroll, reward or benefits related activities as
required. The incumbent will also be responsible for answering payroll and benefits queries, working in partnership with the HR business partnering team or line managers where required.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in a similar role, be proactive, able to work well under pressure and have strong levels of attention to detail. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and a desire to find solutions to challenges and resolve queries in a prompt, thoughtful and accurate manner. Advanced excel skills are required, as is extensive experience of using HRIS/payroll software to drive efficiency and minimise risk.
