Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a pastarol support officer to join our teams working across Coventry and Warwickshire. The Health and Social Care Academy is an exciting project delivered in partnership by our four local Trusts, Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust, George Eliot NHS Trust, South Warwickshire Foundation Trust and University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.

You will work specifically with care leavers providing pastarol support, advice and guidance to care leavers helping them to fulfill their potential.

You will develop focus groups for care leavers. You will develop training for line managers and provider advice and guidance.

You will support with the implementation and coordination of employability programmes to people accessing the Health and Social Care Employability Academy

We welcome applications which demonstrate a passion for co-production and role modelling exemplary behaviour in terms of conduct, attitude and performance., Act as the first point of contact for dealing with enquiries and provide guidance in relation to employability initiatives, as well as other widening access and participation activities. Take action as necessary and liaise with stakeholders and colleagues where required. Dealing with non routine queries, problem solving and developing alternative solutions related to these topics.

Provide career advice on how to 'get in', and 'get on' and 'get further' into the NHS and describe the variety of employability and career opportunities to potential participants and stakeholders.

Support events which inspire local talent to consider employment opportunities.

Facilitating employability cohorts, including developing and delivering training.

Provide pastoral care for people accessing the Health and Social Care Employability Academy, participating in Employability initiatives such as work experience, Supported Internships, apprenticeships, traineeships, taster days, recruitment days, career conversations etc.
