NDT Technician in Great Yarmouth at Probe Oil Tools Limited

Probe are looking to hire an NDT Technician on a full time, permanent basis. Based at their facility in Great Yarmouth, the NDT Technician is to carry out NDE requirements for our client's purchased equipment in our workshop location and support our operations team.,

• Carry out various NDE tasks.


• Liaise with workshop personnel about time sensitive UT operations.


• Complete all NDE that is required and all necessary paperwork.


• When required to assist pressure testing and fitting out duties.


• Maintain equipment used in NDE areas.


• General housekeeping of all workshop areas worked in.


• Deliveries and collections to from clients and suppliers when required.
  
  Good standard of education - GCSE or above.


• Working knowledge of oilfield equipment and general inspection.


• A working knowledge of Health & Safety, ISO9001 and QA procedures.


• Experience within an engineering workshop environment.


• Use of Hand tooling and Plant machinery.


• Experience in oil industry equipment and procedures.


• Computer literate, able to use Microsoft Word, Excel to a good level.


• Good communication and planning skills.


• Good organisational skills.


• Self-motivated.


• Able to work as part of a team.


Desirable

• Engineering competence in torquing, tensioning and pressure testing.


• Knowledge of Torquing and tension systems.


• Experience of working with Hydrostatic pressure testing.


• NDT/UT to a PCN level.


• Forklift license (up to 16 Tonne).


• Slinger / banksman training.


• ECITB MJI Bolt Torque.


• Working at Height.


• Overhead crane Training.


• IOSH Managing safely Training.


• NDT - MPI, DPI - to a PCN level.
