Metal Fabricator - Conversions

We are looking for a skilled fabricator/welder/fitter. Working with the engineering team to understand and work from fully detailed engineering drawings. This is a very varied and interesting role that is certainly not a bench-jig-type position. No two days are the same and you will see the project through from start to finish.

Due to the nature of our business, general DIY fitting skills would be a distinct advantage for any applicant.

Working within a very experienced and supportive team of 10, on the job shadowing, training and supervision will be given, leading you to be able to work on your own in no time!,

These large fabrications are designed, manufactured, and modified in Aldridge, West Midlands to suit our customer's requirements. A large proportion of our conversion customers are long-standing Blue-Chip companies with ongoing requirements for our quality bespoke conversions, these repeat orders being due to the trust they have developed in our 'contained space solutions' through working with our skilled engineers, designers and fabricators.


The Conversions department is part of a larger organisation which also specialises in Container sales and hire, self-storage and depot services. Operating for over 100 years, the business is continuing to grow in all avenues, particularly with the growth in turnover of over 25% in the last 3 years, growth of the sales team of 25% and the recent opening of a new self-store site in 2022.

This is a full-time position, 40 hours a week, plus overtime. Wages are paid monthly.
