Live in Housekeeper

Daily cleaning of house

- Laundry, including washing and ironing

- Household shopping (eg. food, maintenance supplies) as needed

- Errands (eg post office, dry cleaner, drop off at train station) as needed

- Daily check of all rooms in house

- Preparing guest rooms or auxiliary cottages for guests

- Looking after two small dogs when the principles are away

- Organising and liaising with contractors (eg electrician, plumber, builder) as needed

- Management of part-time or junior housekeeping staff

Fluent English

- UK driver's license and confident driver. Own car essential

- Past housekeeping experience

- High standard of cleaning, laundry duties and house maintenance

- Good attention to detail and time keeping

- Management skills

- Computer literate

- Flexible and energetic

• On-site parking, Private family requires an experienced full-time, live-in housekeeper to join their team in Herefordshire.


The home is a rural working farm with a large house and several surrounding cottages and outbuildings. The city of Hereford is a fifteen minute drive away.

The principles are a young and discreet. Most of their time is spent in Herefordshire, with some midweek commuting to London for work and occasional travel abroad. They have family and friends who visit on a regular basis.

Applicants will need to be child and dog friendly, but direct duties relating to childcare are not required.

This is a live-in position and lovely separate accommodation is provided. You are allowed to have pets.

Working schedule and times

- Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.30pm / 9am - 6pm

- Candidates will be required to work occasional weekend days or weekends throughout the year and on these occasions their working hours or days off may differ.
