Full Job Description

Required for 27.5 hours per week, term time only, worked in accordance with service requirements to support pupils with special educational needs across the full age range.

It is desirable to possess NVQ 2 in Teaching Assistance or equivalent qualification or relevant experience of working with/caring for children within specified age range/subject area or equivalent qualification.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed member of staff with relevant experience and ideas to take on the following role within the SEN department.

The role will involve working under the guidance of teaching/senior staff and within an agreed system of supervision (subject to the direction and supervision of a teacher), to implement agreed work programmes with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom. This could include those requiring detailed and specialist knowledge in particular areas and will involve assisting the teacher in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources.
