Full Job Description

The role of the Learning and Development Manager is to build, roll out and embed a management and leadership curriculum which gives everyone access to informed, engaging and best practice personal growth and career development opportunities. The role reports to the Director of HR, but works closely with the wider HR team on a daily basis.

Responsibilites

  • Design and deliver a range of management and business skills training programmes which enables individuals and teams to develop and thrive.


  • - Curate informed and engaging content for the Capsticks Academy - our virtual hub for learning and capability building - to give everyone access to on demand, self-led learning opportunities.
  • Work closely with our Early Careers Business Partner to provide practical L&D support for our early careers programmes.

  • Proactively work with Heads of Divisions, Supervisors and Team Leaders to identify learning and development needs and opportunities, and ensure such needs are addressed, devising and delivering training sessions as necessary.

  • Support the delivery of our Motivated Teams strategy including on-boarding, engagement, performance and progression.

  • Source and manage external L&D partners, suppliers and vendors.

  • Help embed a culture of self-led learning, personal growth and continuous improvement across the firm.

    The successful candidate is likely to be an experienced facilitator/presenter and have experience and/or skills in the following:

  • Delivery of a full training cycle including: training needs analysis, design, delivery, facilitation, and impact review.

  • Design and delivery of leadership, management and business skills training programmes.

  • Ability to establish personal credibility and build effective relationships with senior leaders and other key stakeholders.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with proven influencing skills.

  • Good organisational skills with the ability to provide effective project management to ensure key initiatives are delivered to time and budget.
