Full Job Description

Dinmore is a 24 bed Ortho-Geriatric Ward located on the top floor of the new Frailty Block. We mainly admit patients who have fractured their Neck of Femur, caring for them holistically pre and post operatively. We also care for patients with pelvic fractures as well as general Frailty patients we receive from both Ashgrove and Garway Ward to facilitate patient flow through Frailty.
As a B6 Junior Sister/Charge Nurse you will be responsible for promoting and implementing practice conducive to the development of high quality patient care by providing professional, clinical and managerial leadership. You will be expected to take charge of the Unit in the absence of the Ward Sister and provide support and guidance to all staff., Dinmore Ward is looking for an experienced nurse to support the Ward Sister with the day to day management of the ward. The successful candidate will be expected to take on the management and daily oversight of Dinmore in the absence of the Ward Sister. We have increased our B6 numbers to ensure that there is B6 cover on the ward 24/7 and to improve all aspects of the care we give and this post is an exciting opportunity.
As a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse on Dinmore you will have responsibility for monitoring standards and quality in the development, implementation and evaluation of patient care. You will monitor and support staff training and education, risk management reporting at ward level., As a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse, you will work closely with the multi professional team members to enhance service delivery. As an individual new to the role, you will be well supported by your peers within the medical division.
The successful candidate will be someone who is passionate about nursing and values the contribution nursing makes to high quality patient care.

A clinical background in acute general medicine or orthopaedics is essential to this role to support the nursing team and ensure our patients receive the right standard of care.
