Full Job Description

As an I.T Support Engineer your job will be to diagnose and remediate I.T Issues, build, configure, and qualify IT solutions that address each customer's unique security needs on our cargo scanning systems. The primary function of this position is to act as the main point of contact for all Cargo service IT related queries. The scope of this position includes hardware, network, software configuration, documentation releases, and relevant software releases, in support of the ongoing health and maintenance of all product offerings. The candidate will work alongside the Cargo Engineering Software Team, Cargo product support engineers, Cyber Security and Cargo service business development teams.
Responsibilities:


  • Operations - IT Systems Support:
    + Address IT system-related and/or computer hardware-related sustaining issues
    + Contribute to and participate in engineering change processes where applicable
    + Support personnel to identify root cause of IT infrastructure related problems
    + Support personnel to clarify new or existing processes
    + Support commissioning/service personnel to find replacement solutions for legacy system components (e.g computer, printers, trackballs, etc.)
    + Provide 2nd/3rd Line support for I.T systems
    Patch Management & System Upgrades:
    + Validate and install patches across applicable systems.
    + Provide support to field service teams with the installation of patches.
    + Support the I.T Security advisor with installation and configuration of system upgrades.
    + Provide further support to the installation of system upgrades on site.

    Required:
  • 5+ years of related/applicable experience in I.T

  • Must be familiar with Windows OS (both server and workstation) including Active Directory

  • Must have working experience with configuring and troubleshooting Active Directory

  • Experience with virtualization technologies e.g., Hyper-V, VMware is an advantage

  • Must have advanced experience in networking with VLAN, VPN, and Firewall configurations

  • Cisco networking equipment or be CCNA certified configuring and maintaining networks.

  • High-level of technical troubleshooting + remediation experience at a 2/3rd line level.

  • Must be able to successfully pass security clearance checks.


  • Desirable:

  • Experience working in a global environment across multiple time zone.

  • May Involve some international travel.
