Full Job Description

  • Provide HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on a range of HR issues, such as recruitment, performance management, employee relations, policies and procedures, and HR best practices.

  • Support the development and learning of colleagues across the group.

  • Review and develop smart reward strategies to encourage high performance and talent retention.

  • Manage the onboarding and induction process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.

  • Monitor and review HR policies and procedures, and ensure they are in line with current legislation and best practice.

  • Handle employee relations cases, such as grievances, disciplinaries, absence management, and redundancies, in a fair and consistent manner.

  • Support the Head of HR with HR projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement, performance appraisal, reward and recognition and learning and development.

  • Research and recommend HR solutions and tools to enhance HR efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation using HR systems and databases.

  • Keep abreast of HR trends and developments and participate in relevant HR networks and events.

    Allied Pharmacies is a group of 175 pharmacies across the UK including an online pharmacy brand with over 1,000 employees. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a HR Advisor in Allied Pharmacies head office. The successful candidate will be acting as the first point of contact for all HR related queries and complaints, via phone, email and in person. You will need excellent communication skills. Additionally, we are seeking for someone who will be confident in using the Microsoft Office tools including Excel. You will be responsible for advising your own Pharmacies and liaising with the HR Manager to keep them updated on any issues.


  • You must have a competent and confident telephone manner.

    We are looking for an experienced individual with an organised nature, a positive can-do attitude, and the ability to multitask to join our fast-paced multi-disciplinary team working in a complex and challenging environment.,
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent is desirable.

  • Proven experience as an HR Advisor or similar role in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and legislation

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with managers and employees at all levels.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex and sensitive HR issues.

  • High level of discretion and confidentiality, with the ability to handle personal and confidential information with tact and professionalism.

  • Self-motivated, organised, and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Team player, with the ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with other HR colleagues and directors.

  • Pharmacy experience desirable, Human resources: 1 year (preferred)
