BAM Site Solutions are looking to recruit an experienced Hire Controller to join our team in the Wellingbrough Depot.

This is a full time role working Monday to Friday.

The Hire Controller will give support in all aspects of the day to day running of a busy hire Hub within the Construction industry. They will demonstrate excellent customer service at all times and ensure administration processes are both accurate and timely.

This role requires the individual to be a confident self starter, who has the ability and willingness to learn and develop their skills. The role will require good communication skills both verbal and written as well as having the ability to use
Microsoft office applications and to be computer literate. A background within Hire or a similar industry is essential.

In addition to an attractive salary we offer a contributory pension, 25 days holiday, gym subsidy and BAM social club membership.

Your mission



  • Ensuring customer requisitions and orders are processed accurately and efficiently ensuring a best in class customer experience through the BAM Site Solutions Hub.


  • Working closely with other members of the hire hub team across Site Solutions locations, along with the supply chain / rehire partners to collate and provide feedback on supplier performance.


  • Working in conjunction with the Sales team, provide strong client relationships to support leads, and by providing quality delivery input, developing and assisting with supplier / client relationships and provide support.


  • Ensuring customer orders are processed and fulfilled in order to meet customer expectations and against agreed SLA's..


  • Purchasing products from an agreed supplier database to fulfil customer requirements, ensuring goods received from suppliers are processed efficiently including the direct shipment from supplier to client.


  • Maintaining records and accurate electronic filing systems to meet the requirements of professional bodies and accreditations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail


  • Able to multi-task and prioritise a busy workload


  • IT literate in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) -
    Systems awareness to be able to operate all bespoke reporting applications


  • A high degree of energy and self-motivation


  • Enthusiasm and ability to inspire and motivate people


  • Ability to understand and work to the BAM values
