HGV Class 1 Driver

Due to winning new business - we are recruiting experienced Class 1 drivers for our prestigious client based in Middlewich. Working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern in a safe manner ensuring that the loads are secured correctly and that the goods are delivered on time, offloaded in the correct manner, and ensuring all paperwork is signed.,

• All drivers are required to be flexible to work nights out when needed.


• All successful candidates will be required to have a BPSS and a Criminal Records Check covering a five year period


How will you contribute?

• Responsible for the accurate, timely movement and delivery of our customers' products.


• Adhering to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times.


• Securing load of the trailer to ensure products are safely secured to minimise chances of damage.


• Provide excellent customer service at all times and to take ownership of customer issues on delivery.


• Be aware of the vehicle defects and bring to the attention of Transport Office as necessary.


• Attend essential training in order to carry out the Driver role.
  
  Must have valid in date Class 1 licence


• Must have valid in date CPC


• Must hold Digital tachograph card


• Must have minimum 12 months Class 1 driving experience


• Must not have more than 6 points on licence


• Possess excellent customer facing awareness skills


• Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised


• Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering 1st class customer service


• Must have good communication skills and a flexible can do attitude to work


• Must have a good geographical knowledge, Disability Confident

• Start times between 04:00 - 12:00


• £33,427.91 pro-rata


• £2,000 retention bonus paid for completing 6 month contract


• 42.46 hours per week


• £18.93 - Overtime rate for hours worked after 184 hours


• £26.20 - Night out rate
