Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Derbyshire County Councils Public Health Department to support the delivery of a new Integrated Care System (ICS) programme - Tobacco Dependency Treatment. We are looking to appoint a Health Improvement Advisor to deliver Tobacco Dependency Treatment to pregnant women and partners/household members who are receiving care from Royal Derby Hospital.
This is a unique opportunity to join a new, dynamic, and growing service which is looking for individuals with a passion and ability for supporting people to stop smoking. The posts will be based at Royal Derby Hospital working alongside maternity healthcare professionals.
You will require excellent communication and listening skills, with a knowledge of behaviour change and a good understanding of factors affecting health. You will require experience of working independently and as part of a team. A good level of IT literacy will also be required to maintain accurate client records. Knowledge and experience of tobacco dependency would be advantageous for this role.

Payment arrangements will be detailed in any contract offer made.
Saturday and Sunday hours will be paid at plain time where it is part of your normal working pattern unless it is between 7pm and 7am, where enhanced rates of pay apply. Enhanced pay rates are paid for Bank Holiday working.
