Full Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of People Management to lead our human resources operations. This senior role is responsible for overseeing HR functions, enhancing staff wellness, streamlining recruitment processes, and leading training initiatives to ensure our team's growth and success. The Head of People Management reports directly to the Head of Finance, ensuring that HR strategies are aligned with our financial objectives and overall business strategy.

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.

  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.

  • Manage the recruitment and selection process. This includes overseeing the entire interview process to ensure it aligns with our company's standards and objectives.

  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and maintaining employee satisfaction.

  • Undertake, review and analyse staff surveys

  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.

  • Maintain and periodically benchmark the pay plan and benefits program to ensure they remain competitive and aligned with industry standards.

  • Collaborate with the Training Manager to assess training needs and oversee the application and monitoring of training programs.

  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.

  • Plan and oversee staff wellness days and initiatives.

  • Oversee fleet management, including regular checks on vehicle trackers and the accurate processing of timesheets.

  • Involvement with the Drugs Testing of staff.

    Proven working experience as HR manager or other HR executive.

  • People-oriented and results-driven.

  • Strong Planning & attention to detail.

  • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics.

  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.

  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.

  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.

  • In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.

  • Level 5 CIPD qualification or equivalent experience in Human Resources or a related field., GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
