Full Job Description

This role forms a key part of the Group People Team and, as such, you will be involved in the day to day Group People processes of supporting the business with Employee relations queries whilst also supporting the management of TUPE transfers into the business, ensuring compliant and effective processes are followed and information is accurately processed and maintained.

As Group People Advisor you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the management of TUPE transfers into the business ensuring compliance with TUPE legislation.

  • Supporting ongoing aspects of acquisition onboarding and integration to business.

  • Providing professional, confident, pro-active and business focused Human Resources advice and support to all managers and employees whilst promoting HR best practice.

  • Supporting Managers with the effective and efficient performance of all employees.

  • Provide an advisory service to employees ensuring that they are fully aware of their rights and entitlements.

  • Providing advice and assistance on policies, procedures and legislation.

  • Offering advice, arranging and supporting disciplinary and grievance hearings, escalating concerns to Senior Group People Advisor.

  • Support the development of HR system.

  • Support the Senior People Advisor and the wider team in delivery of HR elements of organisational and cultural change activities.

  • Assisting with employee queries.

  • Support the Senior Group People Advisor and Group Head of People to prepare briefings over a range of HR related topics.

  • Act within the boundaries set out by the company's policies to ensure sensitive personal information is protected as required by law, regulatory bodies, ethics and best practice.

  • Any other duties that may be required within the scope of the role .

  • Due to the nature of the business, the role may also include other duties within the scope of the role .

    Are you CIPD Qualified to level 5, experienced with TUPE transfers and looking to develop your skills by joining a market leading wealth management company with an established and successful People Team?, The successful candidate will need to be motivated, friendly, professional and confidential at all times. Key requirements are:

  • CIPD Qualified (Level 5 preferable)

  • Extensive TUPE experience, confident with acquisitions and consultations

  • Good understanding of employment law

  • Ability to write and present information, business cases and proposals

  • Multi-site experience

  • Confident/exceptional IT skills and use of HR Systems

  • Intermediate to advanced excel skills

  • Excellent written, verbal and organisational skills

  • Experience of interpreting, advising and implementing policies and procedures

  • Leading projects and implementing new initiatives

  • HR Advisory experience dealing with range of ER queries, AWOL, Probation, Disciplinary and Grievance

  • Self-starter, highly organised and ability to adapt to multiple priorities

  • A 'can-do' attitude with problem solving skills

  • Flexible and adaptable approach

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Commercial awareness

  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team

    Hours: Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm with a one hour break (35 hours)


  • Salary: Competitive dependant on experience and qualifications. Available upon request.
