Full Job Description
General duties involved will include:
- Work as a part of the production team manufacturing parts to high quality in relatively short time leads
- Setting of dies and tools ready for production
- Loading and unloading raw materials into furnaces ready for production
- Assist with the forging of materials into various complex shapes and finishes
- Training will be provided in all production and non production areas to develop a multi skilled individual
- Finishing product ready for dispatch to customers
- Post production clean down and general maintenance of plant and machinery in preparation for next production schedules
- Pre production preparation of plant and machinery
This is a level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship qualification (Electrical) delivered over a period of 12 months. - Diploma in engineering operations (skills)
- Certificate or Diploma in engineering operations (knowledge), Communication skills, Organisation skills, Logical, Team working, Initiative, Physical fitness, Flexible, Interest in engineering, GCSE or equivalent English and Maths (Grade Minimum 4) Essential, Having an interest in Metallurgy or Chemistry would be advantageous but not essential as well as previous experience in heavy industrial engineering. Candidate must have a positive attitude and be able to demonstrate an interest in engineering.

You could reduce your training time, or finish your apprenticeship faster, if you have relevant prior learning or experience. This could be relevant: - training

- industry or sector experience
The apprentice will be required to attend a one week induction at the training centre, In-Comm Training Services in Aldridge WS9 8UG as part of the training followed by weekly day release. The apprentice will earn the following qualifications;
