Working with a wide range of financial services business across the UK and overseas, we have extensive experience in helping to deliver clear, commercially-focused solutions to our clients for all types of regulatory issues.

Our expert lawyers assist clients with complex issues of interpretation arising under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (and related legislation), the FCA/PRA handbooks, consumer credit legislation and the anti-money laundering regime., As an Associate at Burges Salmon, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our workplace culture. Lead by example, set the tone, and champion positive change initiatives. Simultaneously, you'll drive results by aligning your efforts with overall priorities, effectively managing resources, and achieving personal goals. But it doesn't stop there-your commitment extends to nurturing our people. Actively develop junior collegaues, deepen your expertise, and foster a collaborative environment. Relevant experience working on financial services regulatory or fintech matters and transactions.

- Good knowledge of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, subordinate legislation (including the Regulated Activities Order and the Financial Promotion Order) and the FCA Handbook (including COBS, CASS, SYSC and SUP).

- Experience of leading others to develop their skills and knowledge.

- Experience of effective matter management and business development activities.

- Must be a SRA or Law Society of Scotland registered lawyer.
