Full Job Description

Our Finance Business Partners understand the business and communicate financial data and other information clearly, provide valuable financial advice, support, strategic insight, challenge and business solutions.
You will need to build strong relationships to enable effective strategic financial management and use those relationships to influence decision making and facilitate constructive challenge.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Developing an understanding of the business, its stakeholders and deliverables and building relationships.
+ Translating, owning and adding insight to financial data to provide clear information and evidence to support business activities and requirements.
+ Reviewing and providing input to business cases/ strategic documentation.
+ Providing ad-hoc analysis and presentations to drive and support business decisions, such as efficiency and cost reduction options, using all available data and analytics tools.
For further information about the role and responsibilities please see the Candidate Pack attached., This role can be based in Swansea, Nottingham, Bristol, or Newcastle where your presence at this location will form part of the working arrangements agreed with you.
There will be occasional travel required with this role to other DVSA locations, including overnight stays.
We operate a hybrid working model giving you greater flexibility about where and when you work. Our expectation is that you will spend a minimum 60% of your time at your base location. Visits to other DVSA sites or work locations count towards this.
Whilst we welcome applications from candidates looking for part-time work, there is a business requirement for the successful candidate to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.

For your Personal Statement, please provide detailed evidence of the following:

Your Personal Statement will be limited to a maximum of 500 words.
The selection process will be designed specifically for the role. As a result, your assessment will include:
+ An interview and presentation.
The sift is due to take place week commencing 10th June 2024.
Interviews/assessments are likely to be held from 26th June 2024.
This interview will be conducted via a video interview, details of which will be provided to you should you be selected for interview.
