Full Job Description

The Education Officer will deliver on all aspects of our Primary School Sport & Education programme, covering several areas of the KS1 and KS2 national curriculum, including physical education, numeracy, literacy, health, and wellbeing.

Within this part of the role, you will deliver high quality lessons in different primary schools across the academic year, linking the delivery to the national curriculum and using Premier League Primary Stars and Aston Villa branding to engage learners. As well as this, you will support teachers to increase their confidence, knowledge and skills in delivering high quality physical education lessons.

During half term holidays you will lead and deliver high quality Football in the Community Soccer School activities during school holidays, for children across a range of ages and abilities, ensuring all coaching activities are delivered to the highest standards., Aston Villa Football Club are proud to be a Disability Confident employer who are committed to supporting candidates with disabilities throughout our recruitment process. We are seeking a driven and passionate individual with the ability to create, develop and implement high quality, varied and creative educational projects and activities. You will have demonstrable experience of working in a school and/ or community sports organisation and have knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum for Key Stages 1 and 2.

You will also have experience of delivering educational workshops within different environments and working with whole class and small group interventions, as well as being capable of mentoring and supporting adults in a coaching or education capacity.
