Full Job Description

  • Management of client CST engagements, including client facing responsibilities day to day and leading small teams;

  • Managing upwards of KPMG colleagues to ensure Partners, Directors and Senior Managers remain up to date with progress of client delivery and Engagement Management fundamentals;

  • Inputting as an SME into wider CST and IGH engagements where required;

  • Ownership and delivery of quality, efficient and profitable engagements;


  • Support business development effort for a particular capability within CST, or for a group of clients;

  • Build and maintain excellent relationships externally and internally;

  • Support the delivery of compelling engagement proposals which result in winning engagements.

  • Contributing to practice and risk/commercial management, including thought leadership and business development activities;

  • Motivate and generate commitment from team members;

  • Demonstrate continuous self and team development;

  • Share knowledge with the team;

  • Willingness to support non-CST engagements as and when CST opportunities are not available, We are open to talk to Corporate Services Transformation Managers in the London or Manchester area as this is where the team is based.


  • With 20 sites across the UK, we can potentially facilitate office work, working from home, flexible hours, and part-time options. If you have a need for flexibility, please register and discuss this with our team.

  • Experience of supporting or taking a lead role in back office transformation, and demonstrating the skills documented in the job description above, including but not limited to, finance transformation, people and change management, organisational transformation, operating model design and implementation and shared services design and implementation;

  • Some experience of leading smaller engagements, but also working on strategically important and higher value engagements, including those with fees in excess of £250k;

  • Some experience of leading smaller engagements;

  • Experience working with Deputy Director and above equivalents in the public sector, or C-Suite executives in the private sector;

  • Experience of leading small teams and project management;

  • Experience of coaching and mentoring junior colleagues with demonstrable improvement in their performance;

  • Advanced Analytical ability and attention to detail;

  • Problem solving skills;

  • Willing to develop cross service line network to facilitate and deliver the breadth of the firm into client relationships;

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal., Awareness of public sector requirements (e.g. Green Book business cases, capital and resource funding);

  • Awareness of intelligent automation and its potential applications;

  • Awareness of business intelligence tools;

  • A formal qualification in your capability, i.e. a chartered accountant in finance
