Contract Finance Manager | Ref: PSR0039489

The overall purpose of the vacancy is to assure evaluations and transactions for some of Defra's key IT suppliers. Key duties include accurate and insightful appraisal of complex data sets to validate transactions and performance assessment, and to communicate these activities clearly to internal and external stakeholder.
As a Contracts Finance Manager your main responsibilities would be:
+ Validation and payment process implementation and management for high-value complex transactions, drawing on Excel expertise to act effectively and efficiently to assure timely reporting and invoice settlement and understanding of the Oracle ERP system Purchase To Pay process.
+ Verification of performance reporting against KPIs.
+ Validation of financial criteria for IT project proposals and contract changes.
+ Development of financial and contract expertise to support ad hoc analysis.
+ Convening and chairing of internal financial reviews.
+ Participation in external reviews as Defra finance lead.

You'll have relevant experience in:)
+ Able and confident Excel user
+ Familiar with electronic payment systems, ideally Oracle
+ Proven financial experience.
+ Evidence of showing consistent attention to detail
+ Evidence of consistent delivery of agreed procedures, developing and/or implementing improvements with agreement
Desirables
+ Purchase To Pay process experience
+ Highly Numerate
