Full Job Description

The post holder will lead the day-to-day management of all bidding and tendering opportunities, working closely with the Assistant Director of Sales and Commercial Development and wider stakeholders. The post holder will be responsible for submission of tenders in line with Commercial appetite. The post holder will also drive procurement activities for the LLP in line with commercial growth, identifying suitable supply chain partners and subcontractors as required. Demonstrate commitment to IWL principles and flexible working patterns, to meet the needs of the service and staff. Tackle discrimination and harassment, and promote equality and diversity in the workplace. Reduce sickness absence; work place accidents; and promote zero tolerance on violence against staff. Take responsibility for personal development and education and the development of a Personal Development Plan. Where relevant, carry out regular appraisals for staff, ensuring business goals are clearly communicated and linked
to objectives. Where relevant, review training and development of staff, so staff have a personal development plan, and support staff in reaching their full potential as identified through the appraisal process. Escalating/resolving complaints or customer enquiries of all types where necessary. To help develop and champion customer service standards for the team and ensuring that standards are adhered to at all times, identifying and resolving areas for improvement through appropriate means including additional training. To meet and exceed agreed KPIs. To support and where relevant lead with the development of effective content and materials for the Sales and marketing team, regularly reviewing and developing these in terms of their effectiveness including but not limited to business cases, strategic reports and business plans and sales and marketing assets. Where relevant, to meet with potential and existing clients on a face to face or virtual basis to understand their requirements and
work with the wider team to secure new contracts. To champion a relational and educational approach to sales and marketing, inherent with NHS values. Develop and oversee the accurate preparation of tenders, proposals and service level agreements, ensuring that profits are maximized in the short and longer term. To provide lead nurturing support and strategy development for new business ventures. To identify through market research appropriate tendering opportunities. To attend networking opportunities where relevant, representing the LLP to further develop tendering capabilities. Demonstrate the ability to interact and cooperate with company employees and stakeholders at all levels. Support the Commercial Team in ensuring that the LLP and Trust values are adhered to. To support the team actively seeking and securing opportunities for client references, case studies and PR opportunities by liaising closely with the marketing team. Lead and implement related projects independently and in
conjunction with others. Provide cross over cover where appropriate within the team to cover staff leave.
