Please see the attached Job Description and Person Specification for full details and expectations of the role., Clinical Service manager IDD Community will have relevant clinical/or managerial qualification and experience in the management of people and services, to lead, direct and co-ordinate safe, effective, and efficient local services to meet the needs of people with learning disability and or autism, their carers and families, in line with commissioned service specifications.
Participate in the rota for Manager on Call and undertake On-call responsibilities when required.
Deputise for the Operational Manager as required., The Clinical Service Manager will lead and manage the provision of IDD Community services, including Intensive Community Assessment and Treatment (ICATT); Community Learning Disability Teams; Acute & Primary Care Liaison Nurses on a day-to-day basis, with responsibility for operational management.
Will support team leads in formulating service plans, providing leadership and ensuring the development of an effective team and high-quality service provision and clinical oversight. Be accountable for the delivery of continuously improving high quality service/s for people with learning disability, and or autism and their families and carers.
To provide overall strategic support to the Operational Manager and deliver the agreed programmes of development and improvement, as part of the wider Mental Health Specialist Services Care Unit.
To work with the Operational Manager, Clinical Directors Clinical Leads, Team members to support efficient service delivery through:
+ Patient safety, quality assurance, oversight of complex clinical cases
+ Strong financial management
+ Contract management
+ Service and project development and transformation.
+ Workforce planning to ensure that the right colleagues with the right skills are in place
+ Rigorous performance monitoring to deliver all the required standards to meet the contract specification
+ High quality service management including emergency planning and capacity management
+ Promoting a high standard of care and improving the patient experience
+ Establishing improvement programmes which contribute to improving the quality and efficiency of the service through innovative approaches.
+ Participate in patient and public engagement ensuring that the views of patients are used to improve the delivery of services.
The role will encompass monitoring the legislative, policy and contractual requirements.
To ensure the objectives and targets of the Learning Disability & Autism strategy are achieved as determined by National, Trust and Divisional standards.
The Clinical Service Manager will maintain the involvement and confidence of all staff in teams, to achieve effective and quality standards of care delivery in line with the relevant operational policies. They will be responsible for the delivery of key performance indicators and for the delivery of agreed programmes of development and improvement.
