Full Job Description

Together for Children's Early Years Team, are seeking to recruit a full time Childcare Development Officer. The role will entail developing new childcare providers, as well as to support the existing range of childcare provision in Sunderland to promote the availability of sufficient, high quality, affordable childcare across the city.

The successful candidate will have significant experience of working in the early years sector, knowledge and expertise in childcare development, business support and financial planning, workforce development, supporting and processing grant applications as needed, policy template development, governance structures, roles and responsibilities of childcare staff and setting management. They will have up to date knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted's Early Years Inspection Framework as well as Ofsted's processes and regulations.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to join the highly regarded and established Early Years Team to help make their mark for the children and families of Sunderland.

This position requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check.
