Full Job Description

We are the lead interface into the SMB segment. The team is responsible for co-ordinating and delivering all SMB specific marketing activities (working in line with other segments where relevant) which drive conversion and loyalty for SMB customers. We support and equip the many sales channels within SMB and understand their different customer profiles and product requirements.

As the Marketing Operations Manager, you will manage and prioritise the segment specific marketing plan, leading cross-functional marketing squads to deliver the plan and make recommendations on spend and resource requirements. You will be the central point of contact for the SMB segment, interlocking with key stakeholders across the segment and the marketing team to drive brilliant commercial outcomes. You will support the annual planning process aligning with Commercial and Propositions teams and manage a performance framework to track and monitor maximum ROI.

The role has a number of direct reports and some dotted line reports that you'll need to support alongside the other marketing managers within the team.

What you'll be doing

  • You will be the central point-of-contact for SMB, will interlock with key stakeholders and represent the team at GTM Forums, trading sessions and marketing show and tells

  • You'll work closely with the strategy & operations team and be responsible for creating and prioritising the SMB marketing plan, ensuring it's aligned to the SMB annual plan with clearly defined performance metrics.

  • You will define, agree and lead cross functional marketing 'squads' to deliver the plan making recommendation on spend targets and resource requirements. You will connect-the-dots between segments and shared capability teams to ensure the right stakeholders are engaged.

  • You will be a champion for strong communication and collaboration across creative, production, PR, talent relations, digital, social, channel, and agency partners leading all agency briefings for your area.

  • You will ensure ethe effective use of Marketing budgets ensuring maximum ROI.

  • You will manages all new demand for making decisions on behalf of the team to support or challenge depending on business goals/objectives and team capacity

  • You will drive for clarity on the commercial, mandatory and proposition detail from your stakeholders, collaborating with those teams to drive for brilliant briefs to ensure cross functional squads have all the details they need to execute flawlessly.

  • Manage quarterly readiness - ensuring it is aligned with segment plan and MTP, that internal and external agency resource and budget is allocated to support.

  • You will provide project management support for projects and activities and work with suppliers, agencies and internal teams to ensure successful execution

  • You'll provide support with preparing materials for key meetings (e.g. Exec team presentations)

    Excellent organisational and planning skills with great attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Demonstrable marketing or project management experience.

  • Ability to manage stakeholders brilliantly with a flair for building rapport and credibility with senior leadership.

  • Clear and concise communicator with the ability to listen effectively, socialise ideas across functions, and unite teams under one vision., Commercial knowledge - to maintain a level of understanding of commercial performance from the Performance teams outputs and recommendations

  • Previous experience working in a B2B marketing role preferred but not essential

  • Experience of managing and influencing multiple internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience of managing projects with multiple stakeholders, agencies and deadlines
