Full Job Description

Bath Mind are a local and independent mental health charity working across Bath & North East Somerset. While we are affiliated to the national Mind charity, we receive no direct funding from the national charity and work independently to develop our own services that suit local needs.

Established in 1998 by a group of people with lived experience of mental illness, we work tirelessly to provide support, information, advice, and activities for individuals in our community. We are in contact with thousands of individuals annually to support them with a greater understanding of their mental health, focusing both on preventing mental ill health and improving mental wellbeing.

Overall Responsibilities

An exciting new role within Bath Mind's Business Development Team for a dynamic, organised and efficient coordinator looking to broaden their skill set and support our Wellbeing in the Workplace Scheme, grant funding applications and income generation work. Good relationship and communication skills are key to this role, as are strong numeracy and literacy skills.

The Business Development Team oversee unrestricted and restricted income generation for the charity as well as press, print and digital communications.

Specific Responsibilities

· Respond to training enquiries and manage the booking process with external clients.

· Manage online bookings for open courses.

· Liaise with Bath Mind trainers to coordinate appropriate and timely training.

· Manage payments and process invoices for training bookings.

· Record and log all training data and information, such as incomes and evaluations.

· Work with the Communications Lead to keep training materials and resources up to date.

· Liaise with the Communications Lead to promote our training offer through the website, social media and other communications.

· Support Interim Head of Business Development to research new development and income generation opportunities for Bath Mind.

· Support Interim Head of Business Development with scoping grant opportunities, gathering information and data and submitting grant funding applications.

· Support Interim Head of Business Development with administration of grant funding and income generation.

· Support with gathering impactful data for the BD team.

· Support the BD team with administrative tasks.

· To attend training and relevant courses for professional development

· Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

· Excellent numeracy and literacy

· Confident in building and maintaining good working relationships

· Experienced in use of Excel and Microsoft Office

· 2+ years' experience in an administrative role

· Ability to work unsupervised and using own initiative

· Clear understanding of confidentiality and equal opportunities

· Effective, proactive team member

· Ability to maintain professional boundaries

· Ability to listen and communicate non-judgementally

Desirable Criteria

· Microsoft Excel training

· Customer relationship experience

· Understanding / experience of the charity sector

· Understanding of charity bids and grants

· Flexibility to be able to pick up occasional evening and weekend work

A DBS check and two references are required prior to the appointment of the successful candidate.
