Full Job Description

Here at Serco, we are looking for a Business Support Apprentice team to join us working within the team delivering the Restart Scheme. You'll provide administrative and organisational support to the team as well as providing support to Restart participants and the Employers they work with via telephone, email, and face to face.

As our new Business Support Apprentice, you will be required to undertake a number of tasks within the department. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who has a willingness to learn and develop their administrative skills.

Day to day you'll be involved in,

  • Co-supporting the Administrator on daily Admin tasks and covering reception where needed

    Being a team player and working well with others

  • Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills


  • What you need to do the Apprenticeship?

    Essential

  • 5 GCSE (A-C)

  • Good IT skills with particular emphasis on MS Excel and MS Office 365 software

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across a number of work streams

  • Confident to communicate through a variety of media with internal and external stakeholders

  • Use own initiative and work independently

  • Demonstrate a flexible approach to work


  • Desirable

  • Understanding of DWP/welfare to work market environment

  • Experience of working in a compliance environment ideally within the Employability sector

  • Experience of CRM based systems
