Full Job Description

We are recruiting for x3 Building Managers on behalf of our client Sellafield.
The successful candidates will be based on site 5 days per week in Cumbria.
Role Duties:
+ The role of a Building Manager is to ensure that their buildings arrangements comply with the site.
+ environmental, health, safety and quality management systems, policies, and procedures, such that they meet the requirements of regulators, customers and appropriate standards as required, including fire and emergency procedures.
+ The role requires the Building Manager to deliver an efficient, economic and value for money FM service, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislative requirements required for the maintenance, running and upkeep of building assets.
+ The Building Manager competence should be demonstrated by completion of the Building Managers Workbook and appropriate Building Manager Role training courses. The Building Manager must be appointed SQEP for all the buildings they manage.
Typical topics include:
+ Fire Protection/Safety Management.
+ Building Security.
+ Emergency Procedures & Arrangements.
+ Signage.
+ Environmental Issues.
+ Building Maintenance.
You will hold relevant experience in:
+ Ensure compliance with all statutory building, H&S legislation and the site management system through effective monitoring and inspection procedures (including legionella management, fire prevention and housekeeping).
+ Ensure that the infrastructure building portfolio is maintained to SFG20 standard.
+ Co-ordinate reactive and planned maintenance.
+ Facilitation of building issues ranging from cleaning, waste disposals, ground maintenance and vending.
+ Contribute to the planning and delivery of the infrastructure asset care plan.
+ Contribute towards innovative, strategic, and environmental initiatives within infrastructure.
+ Develop effective relationships with stakeholders in relation to infrastructure.

+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) to deal with customer, stakeholders, and suppliers at all levels within the organisation in a professional manner.
+ Can prioritise work effectively.
+ Ability to work as part of a team or unsupervised and can adapt to change.
+ Ability to achieve Building Manager SQEP status.
+ IT proficient
Desirable Skills
+ Experience of compliance environment.
+ Experience of Fire Safety Management.
+ Experience of Legionella management.
+ Driving Licence.
+ Facilities Management experience, allied trades, or technical experience.
+ IOSH Managing Safely or associated qualification.
+ Experience of SL / Offsite areas.
