We are recruiting for a Building Maintenance Technician for the PDX campus in Birmingham, UK. The role will be responsible for the day to day maintenance and repair activities across four sites, including facilities, plant and equipment.
This role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday - 0800 - 1600hrs.
There is also an on-call requirement of 1 week in every 4 weeks, with some weekend working as the need arises.
Part of the Protein Diagnostics Division, the team in Birmingham produce our range of specialist proteins and Immuno Diagnostic test kits for use in the global IVD market.The role:Management of day to day maintenance of facilities, plant and equipmentEnsuring preventative maintenance work orders are completed on timeCoordinating out of hours work when required, in line with planned and requested maintenanceManagement of spare parts to adequately cover breakdownsInput into and maintain database of maintenance tasksManaging external contractors on siteReact to and complete emergency maintenance when requiredThe person:Extensive experience in facilities maintenanceUnderstanding of GMPElectrical installations experience and qualification are desirableMechanical fitting / engineering experienceExperience working with boilers and HVAC systemsExperience of planned and preventative maintenanceStrong understanding of HSE relating to maintenance activities
